Super Burner Lecture and Stencil Workshop by Ricardo Apex Richie and Christopher Burch
Super Burner Lecture
Through complexly layered compositions, Apex and Vulcan’s intricately detailed murals, known as Super Burners, use an overwhelming variety of abstracted forms and color combinations that address formal issues of painting, design, and architecture within the contemporary urban landscape. Hosted by White Walls gallery the lecture and panel discussion with APEX, VULCAN, and NEONSKI, traces the evolution and impact of the Super Burner upon street art.
Stencil Workshop
Myrtle Alley will become the site of an impromptu public mural project. A giant wooden panel will be installed in the alley, and we invite artists of all capacities to make their mark. This workshop is meant to bring together experienced spray can artists with those who are curious about the art form, whether they have tried it or not. Create as an event where artists and the community will have a chance to dialogue about spray can art.
