Bay Area sculptor, Steve Dellicarpini, is currently back in school pursuing his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Spatial Art at San Jose State University. With a professional background in electrical and mechanical design, sculpture came naturally. Always building and creating, he has amassed a wide range of skills over the years and loves problem solving different projects. Steve is just at home in the woodshop as in the foundry and he can comfortably create in any medium. He is always looking for an excuse to try something new or get a new tool.
Steve grew up in rural Connecticut, before the internet, at a time when kids played outside with their imagination.
Because of this, his style is strongly rooted in imaginative takes on natural observations and themes. His latest series takes the elements of time, exploration, and discovery and combines them into intriguing core samples from other
worlds. Most recently, he is obsessed with ï¬nding new, unique ways to combine dissimilar materials in these pieces.
Steve plans on applying his techniques and vision in various creative outlets, anything where he can continue to explore sculpture and other physical arts.
