One of the Bay Area’s most revered artists, Paul Kos brings his international acclaim to our ART KIOSK with a new site-specific commission titled Donner Pass. His work is truly experiential tapping into all of our senses and provides us with mesmerizing installation and feelings of joy, nostalgia, and comfort just as the Holiday Season approaches. He has stated, “I prefer to let the art speak for itself” and provided the succinct description.

As a response to the 4 sided Art Kiosk, I staged the experience of sublime nature at Donner Pass: sunrise over Donner Lake ( from the exact site of the famous Bierstadt painting), water coursing down the red rock of the Yuba River, a Sierra snowstorm at night and a crackling fire on the hearth.

The ART KIOSK would like to thank Paul for participating as our culminating exhibition for our 2020 season.
