Miyu Kaneko is a Digital Media Artist based in Santa Clara, California. Her mixed-media practice includes 3D models, 2D illustrations, video works, and installation works. After being born in Japan, she moved to California at three months old. From this biculturality, she adapted a unique art style in mixing American and Japanese pop art-styles. With her struggle to adapt in the two cultures came a strong sense of exploration of self-identity, compassion, and having a curiosity for open conversations about delicate topics of mental health and individuality. She graduated From San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Digital Media Art, Spring 2023. She contributed as a Visual Director for the official art exhibit for the G20 2020 in Bali, “Constellations: Global Reflections” (2020). “Looking Through the Blue-Lit Window” will be her first solo exhibition.
