About the Artist

Elizabeth Gomez is an artist from Mexico City based in Redwood City, California. She is a professional artist that has exhibited her work nationally and internationally for many years. Her newest painting was recently exhibited at The De Young Museum in their Bay Area Open show. Her painting style continues artistic traditions within the rich aesthetic of Mexican art.

Elizabeth has taught art for many years to all ages, has done paint and tile murals, art

installations, and many other public art works with community involvement. She has illustrated three award-winning multicultural children’s books that are published by Lee and Low. She is currently working in making a community mosaic mural with more than 500 volunteers for the Magical Bridge park in Redwood City.
