Born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam, Ngan Doan is currently working toward a B.A. degree in Studio Practice at San Jose State University.

Doan’s subject matter derives from art history and popular culture. Photography is the medium of choice for her creative expression. Doan also explores a variety of visual languages and material investigations in her practice. As Doan develops each artwork, she realized that she is influenced by conceptual art, which generates discussions that lead to many un-ended questions.
