About the Artist

Shiyao Lin is an interdisciplinary artist who is deeply enthralled by the complexity and ambivalence of humanity and attempt to bring such topics into her artworks. Through her exploration of a variety of mediums, she has created site-specific installations, sculptures and digital artworks. Shiyao intends to create art that evokes introspection, resonation and philosophical thoughts. Her ultimate goal as an artist is to be able to make her audience feel less lonely by reaching through her art.  Lin recently received her Bachelors of Fine Art degree with a concentration on Digital Media Art and this is her first solo exhibition.
