Elaine Ma

Qiling Ma is a Chinese multidisciplinary artist living in San Jose, California. Ma currently graduated from San Jose State University and has a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art with a concentration in Digital Media Art.

Ma came from Guangzhou, China. Her native language is Cantonese. She also speaks Mandarine and English. Ma moved to the United States since 2014. She has studied Graphic Design at Pasadena City College from 2014 to 2017. Later, she transferred to San Jose State University.

Ma is interested in making 3D modeling, printing, and animation, computer graphics, and motion graphics. And she is obsessed with glass blowing and likes to make artistic practical vessels.

Ma’s goal is to create immersive interactive installations that make the audience feels resonated. She likes to observe and explore the relations between individuals, objects, and society in our daily life. She wants to share the stories and emotions with the audience through her art.
